What does it feel like to be 40?

Feels a lot like 39.. not a whole lot different at first.

40 seems like a daunting age to turn, not quite “over the hill” at 50 and certainly not dialing back the hands of time turning 30. That’s in thought though.

Waking up, now 40 years old, feels…

Fun and full of life

Definitely feeling some of previous nights’ fun of life!

Feeling blessed & grateful for friends, family, and good weather

Somehow the sun seems to shine brighter and the gently breezy air seems lighter.

40 feels fine. It’s not so scary. It’s just fine….

Feels like a whole year ahead of “OMGWTFYAY” good times

40 feels freeing

My body does feel more ‘fussy’ though! More upkeep.

Naps are OK.

I finally feel “older”, in respect to when I was a young girl. Yet, I still don’t ‘see’ someone’s age when conversing with them.

Bring on the challenges and face emotional discomfort. Let’s learn to keep growing.

Recently, I was told that I have have “monkey on my back” and I carry “the weight of the world on my back” (meaning in spirit or ethereal, the ‘monkey’ in this statement was referred to as self-trust too) – ruminating on this, this feels like this was “me in my 30’s” (which I can now say ;P) and now is the time to let go, get to know this little monkey to set it free. I release the weight of the world.

40 feels like a really big gift with endless possibilities.

Whoa! I must be getting old and wise already… I didn’t even jump or scream when a nickel-sized spider just landed on my head in the kitchen! WHEW. They got a new home outside though!!

At 39 – the future was now and is the age that many decide they want to “want to stay 39 forever”. Moving on and into 40, the future seems like it’s just starting! Same life, same family. Same kids, only my mind feels clear, my heart open to possibilities; anything can happen. I kinda do feel changed inside a little… I guess that’s what the wisdom of age brings, change. Oh goody – more change😆 😂
